Experts in economic policies at the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) “Viitorul” have highlighted the importance of Moldova’s services export, which represents one third of all Moldovan exports. This sector is unique as it has a positive export and trade balance, providing the necessary currency inflow to cover the trade deficit from importing goods. According to Veaceslav Ionita, an expert in economic policies, Moldova must and is obligated to enter the global competition, not just in terms of goods export, but also in terms of services export. This will allow Moldova to compete on a global scale and increase its currency inflow, ensuring the country’s economic growth.
